American spelling

Any one else getting fed up of being told via red underlining that the English spelling you are quite rightly using is wrong?
Wrote something on CC today and it was the final straw when I was corrected for spelling "behaviour" [grrr, underlined again] and not "behavior" [which is deemed correct], and don't get me started on speaking as in the word "schedule" which ought to be pronounced sh and not sk. Lots more examples, too many to list, hate it.

American English is almost as much of an abomination as American cuisine.

Secondly, American English is generally the more historically correct and it is British English which has changed.
