That's what made me think it was Henna, before the residue had been wiped off, It is obviously 'fresh' and just been completed but there is no blood or bruising, just a bit of redness (reaction to the Henna imo)

Looks real to me.
Tattoo's don't always bruise.
It's certainly not Henna...
But photoshop can do very good things these days.
