Their tracker has just popped up for the first time in Australia.

I wonder if it'll ever be known what was actually wrong with one of the bikes and the tracker after their flight from Singapore.
I have no idea (not following them) but I assume to get an official "record" which I thought they were aiming for they'd need GPS tracks recorded. But online trackers need online connectivity ie mobile signal so might just be that they couldn't or couldn't be bothered to get a local SIM for the particular countries. Certainly some SE Asia countries have interesting connectivity options. eg In Cambodia mobile call tariffs vary for calls within your provider and to a different provider. So taxis, hotels, tuk-tuks, etc. all have 3 mobiles (generally held together with elastic bands) one for each network and they give out all 3 numbers and everybody (locals) know which numbers are on which networks and only call the number on their own network. Takes time to get a local SIM. In Thailand to get a local SIM I had to go to the mobile operator's official outlet (fair distance away) with passport, etc.

The 'live tracker' that we can see on the web page is not gathering the data they'll need for validation; their head units are doing that, so that's not an issue. (For validation, that data needs embedded heart rate and/or power data too, so it's certainly the case that lots of electronics do need to be functioning.)

Not all on-line trackers use cellular networks, but theirs does. See: https://followmychallenge.com/our-trackers/ . The SIM in the device roams though, so they do not need to do anything about different SIMs for the actual tracker (they might do for their phones, conceivably, but that's not relevant for this tracking issue.) The tracker site briefly said that 'Follow my challenge' were working on a fix for the tracker, and it seems to be still working now, so presumably they did something :-)

SE Asia sounds 'entertaining' for various phone things :-\

Not sure why you’re not seeing it but both their instagram have been reporting consistently. Also as said elsewhere there are shorts on youtube daily.

I had been following along on Amy's Instagram feed, but the last post I'm seeing is from day 29 in Singapore. I'm not a massive social media user so I wasn't sure if I was looking in the wrong place or not. As kindly pointed out though, I've now discovered youtube shorts and have caught up on the last couple of days in Australia, so I'll keep following along on there.

I've found once watching a YouTube short and previously having subscribed to the channel, I am getting a notification on my mobile when a new short has been uploaded.

Quite possibly that's an accommodation thing, in that the route to Albany looks to be a very similar distance on the plan versus what they've done. I don't know how far ahead they're booking accommodation (Does anyone - is that mentioned in the podcasts?), but they will have had to change things due to the strange bike mechanical issues prior to leaving Perth.

I’m pretty sure Amy has said they are booking day to day for flexibility.
