This is a Raleigh Dirt Cross with 20" wheels. I don't think it's anything special but lots of Raleigh bikes have a bit of a following so I thought it was worth posting.
Apparently these were made from 1996 to 1999 and can best be described as the love child of a Grifter and a mountain bike. I just love the fake suspension forks and seatpost: both are completely rigid but feature gaiters to look like suspension. It also features a sticker from another local bike charity, now defunct, indicating that I am at least the second person to refurbish it for sale.
I have no idea whether these are collectable or not, or what the value might be - I've put it up at £60 - but I thought it was interesting as a footnote from Raleigh's history. And it might be some kid's entry into the classic bike world, who knows?
