Bought me some new tyres recently, a pair of Michelin Pro4 Endurance that I got half price off Chain Reaction, and that came in a fetching grey. Haven't actually been for a ride for weeks so I finished early and took bike, camera + a couple of lenses for a very short ride up to the cemetery as it was a lovely sunny day and I figured a good sunset view from the top of the road.

Got absolutely no good pictures, the sun went in and never came out again, it got cold quickly and suddenly, and my bike fell over for no apparent reasons of physics, and I've just discovered I've lost a bar end as well as the gears being screwed.

And to think, I could've stayed in for tea n biscuits.

Hmph!

I used to feel that way when I got drenched on my commute home. 'Most people spend their lives warm and dry, so they never give it a thought. Only if you occasionally get soaked and frozen do you actually appreciate being toasty.'

Well... a rain-soaked ride that goes well, is great! But a ride of no endearing characteristics whatsoever, that's what I'm talking here!

I suppose if I had to say one good thing, the Michelin tyres do seem to be lithe, comfortable and no hindrance to a bit of pace when I felt like it

Is that title unreservedly or undeservedly? Or both?
