Anyway, of the current British crop it has to be Stewart Lee for me, and Chris Rock across the pond. Unsurprisingly I'm also a fan of the comedy-meets-direct action genre, the masters of which are Mark Thomas and Rob Newman. If we're allowed dead comics, then obviously Bill Hicks and Lenny Bruce. And did I mention I rather like Max Miller? But I'm not sure that's the coolest thing to admit to...
