I go with a chirpy "Mind Your Backs" followed by an oddly Arthur Askey-esque "Eh Thengew" if room is made for me. When a quick warning is needed, I tend to just shout "BIKE!" and hope for the best[1]...

I did have a ping bell for a few weeks while, but people tended to ignore it (or at least, people below a certain age ignored it) and I ended up shouting anyway.

[1] This being that the student in question looks up from their texting and waits for me to pass before continuing to cross the road oblivious to traffic...

Someone once suggested "AAAHHHHHGGGHHHHHH! NO BRAAAAKES!!!" as a way of shifting pedestrians.

"BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!!!" is a good one for freezing peds, also sometims shout stuff like "RAAAIN" , "CAAARRROT" etc is good too. The puzzled look on peoples faces when they try to work out what you shouted is brilliant.
