I posted a similar question a couple of years ago...........then I got my bikes nicked.............then the big 'C' came calling........so it never got done.
So this year I have been building the mileage up and feel I can do Anglesey next year
I want something like 100 miles.
With my last post there were a few CC members that were also thinking of doing it.
So...........
Has anyone done it ?
Any suggestions/advice etc. ??

There's the Anglesey Lanes audax in June which does a lot of the island but it's not a true circuit. That's 100k. Done it the last 2 years - first on a DF and this year on my recumbent.

It's not desperately hilly, bit it's certainly not flat! Good ride though.

Hello Dave 7.
Very sorry to hear about all your problems . You have overcome them now , and showed True Grit , Well Done .

I have not done the Anglesey Coastal cycle circuit. I would love to do It .
But have walked The Anglesey Coastal path 200k . Did It as a Charity walk for Macmillan Cancer . So I know Anglesey very well . I can give you advice If you are going to cycle and camp out .
Best wish's for your future cycle .

If you stick to the main roads i think it's about 60/70 miles. Anglesey is not flat, constantly up and down so it's a hard 60/70 miles but also beautiful. I would do it anti-clockwise personally.

I was actually thinking of anti-clockwise........mainly because the long hill out of Llantersillywhatsitgogogoch if I did it clock-wise.
Hills are OK(ish) for me but not BIG hills
My thinking is.............I have done a 68 miler on the flat but very windy. If I do it in June I will have 12 hours minimum so can stop for cake as often as I want/need.

If you are thinking of June @Dave7 , try the Anglesey Lanes Audax - 100k and does about 70% of the coastal strip of the island. If I can get round on a recumbent, anyone on DF can! A good day out with about 100 other like minded souls. Entry is about a fiver IIRC.
