Annoying Adverts (again)

The one at the moment is for an automatic soap dispenser that squirts out a blob of liquid soap from the bottle when you put your hand under it so that you do not get germs from pushing the usual dispenser top down.

a) You are using it before you wash your hands, are you not washing your hands to get rid of the germs?
b) Unless you have a tap that also works automatically you will have to turn that on (and more importantly off) which brings you into contact with the germ infested world.

This one has taken over my germ paranoia award from the loo cleaner cage that has all the germs in it.

What is your nomination for most annoying/untrue/paranoid advert at the moment?

I would like to see a Nissan Qashqai jump off the roof of a building, do a barrel roll and land in a skip without breaking in half.

I couldn't agree more.

"There are more germs on your chopping board than on your toilet seat"

Well clearly that's fine! We're not in the grip of a food poisoning epidemic, so what's the big deal?

Anything with "up to" in the claims.

This product will make hair up to 30% stronger.
"Up to" includes the number 0.

Those adverts showing a domestic scene, typically say 'mum' expressing some concern about 'child' getting some mess on their shirt or whatnot.

Then, person in brightly coloured tshirt appears to offer them advice on using their products to remove the mess. "Who the hell are you and how did you get in my house?!?" oddly isn't the reaction.

What's a 'fair usage policy' if it isn't a limit!

That one that was on during the TdF for some kind of special Britannia penny, that was annoying, especially since they repeated everything a second time after taking ages to get through the first effort...

All these "you're worth it" ads get me. The toilet block one too. All these thingies where everything has to be STERILE! Why don't they just put themselves into a large plastic bag, use an air extractor, seal it and then they won't catch any!

I LOVE the Meerkats though!

I love the one that claims that '73% of women say they feel sexier when their underarms are looking good.' Really? What, so 27% of women say they feel sexier when their underarms are looking bad?
