Whilst doing battle with the weather this morning, near the end of my commute when using my rear brake I heard an annoying noise coming from the rear wheel.
After some investigation it turned out that something had made a small depression in the braking surface of the rim, resulting a burr. No idea what caused it, tyre seems fine but rear brake is not really usable especially as I have just fitted new pads.
Luckily I have a set of identical wheels in the garage with Marathon Winters fitted, so I can change the wheel and look into how to get rid of the burr.
It appears I need to use very fine wet/dry sand paper.
