Annoying little things

What annoys you about other cyclists and their traits?

for me (not in any order at the mo):

1. RLJ when, given the situation, it is selfish and dangerous.

2. those cyclists who pull up on your left and in the gutter when you are waiting for lights to change/waiting to cross a junction, meaning you now have another hazard to contend with.

3. Those cyclists who you passed at a good pace 10-300 yds back, who then pull up on your right and either track stand/creep into the middle of the junction when lights are on red, meaning you now have another hazard to contend with as you pass them within 100 yds of the luights going green.

4. Moody fecker cyclists (usually the ones who you have just overtaken and reacting by re-overtaking)

5. The "I don't need lights" cyclist

6. Cyclists who do not go into a lower gear, so that when the traffic lights go green, said fecker is probably doing a combination of adjusting their spd's and cycling very very slowly.

7. Cyclists who are cycling right behind you, ignoring any kind of braking distance.

8. Cyclists who see you waiting to come out of a side road who then turn left just before they get to you without signalling - oi, I was waiting for you to pass, if you learned to ride for a couple of yards with only one hand on the bars you could have indicated and I wouldn't have had to wait.

I reserve my ire for red-light jumping, mobile phone using, fag-puffing, elbow-polishing, hashbox parking, aggressive numpty motorists.

10. Those that you overtake who then RLJ get ahead of you so that you have to overtake again.

Cyclists don't generally annoy me. Pavement cyclists sometimes do, but not much.

Some cyclists can be annoying but I try to think would I rather that annoying person was in a car, no!

11. Riders who can't hold my pace for a meaningful period of time but try to share the lead or try to drop me.

8. Cyclists who see you waiting to come out of a side road who then turn left just before they get to you without signalling - oi, I was waiting for you to pass, if you learned to ride for a couple of yards with only one hand on the bars you could have indicated and I wouldn't have had to wait.

Unfortunately no left signal = dramatic reduction of left hooks at the turning you're taking. I've given up with left signals unless the road behind me is clear of cars.

AARRRGHHH! Happened AGAIN this morning, bloke obviously thought he was too fast and didn't think anybody would be keeping up with him, avoided the snot and passed him up the hill, bar-steward.

Either RLJ or nip on the pavement to get round heavy traffic, then crawl along so you overtake again...

Not a lot really. Cyclists with no lights bombing towards me on a cycle lane do get on my nerves. Pavement riders who then jump back onto the road without looking.

Save it for annoying motorists if you have to get angry.

After all:

RLJers - won't be around long to be annoying
No lights - won't be around long to be annoying
Pavement cyclists - may change their ways once they've been knocked off a few times.

If we could get rid of cars there's be no need for traffic lights or back lights on bikes, and no-one would bother riding on pavements.
