That's me (see below). Annual target of 3,000 miles, that's my usual. Have usually made it and then some to spare... this year, various months (and for various reasons) have been pretty bad cycling-wise, I've done much less cycling to work, no touring, and it's now clear I'm not gonna make it...
but, so the pressure's off

i know it's an arbitrary target, and I set it myself... it's good to have a target sometimes.

So, join me here and revel in the fact that though you aren't going to make your target, you've enjoyed the cycling you HAVE done.
(or gloat, if you must)

My target was 10000 miles but currently at 7700 miles so no chance of making it either .

If you spent more time on the bike and less time with Miss Goodbody you might of made your target ^_^

I've lost interest in annual targets since getting a Garman 200. It's a great piece of kit for single journeys and swapping from bike to bike, but unfortunately, I've lost count of the times I have forgotten to switch it on or switch it off after putting the bike in the back of a car after a race and now my accumulative total is a bit suspect. Still I'll re-set it on Boxing Day and have another go next year. I know it's a bit silly, but I always start counting from Boxing Day, to give myself a boost to hit the January target.

Cheers Keith

I don't have a target but I'm pleased that I've reached my 2012 mileage even though I'm severely time poor after a change in working patterns, most of it ridden in the evening. I miss going on longer club runs though.

I didn't have a target as I only got back on the bike a year ago.
I didn't fit my bike computer until about April/May this year (new bike in Feb) so didn't know how far I was going each time.

My first year, got the bike at the end of January, fitted the computer in April and towards the end of the year, added up what I'd done, worked out what I'd do if I kept going at the same rate, rounded it up and made that my target for the year. Really helped keep me going in the bad weather.

In reality my 10 miles a day/3650 miles a year is a soft target and I hope to hit 4000 like last year. That leaves me needing another 380'ish miles with only 19 possible commutes of approx. 20 miles available before the new year. I doubt I will do everyone of those commutes by bike so will have to scrape some other miles from somewhere :boxing:

Like @fnarr I normally have a 3000 mile target.

I am not even going to get anywhere near 1000, due to whiplash and sciatica caused by a rear ending on the A14 in January.

The miles I have gotten in, though have been real fun, so I would say that, in some small way, I am up on this year, due to the miles/fun ratio.

Watch out, next year, though as I'll be back with a real vengence.
