Yup, way too close, and I know how very close that must have been, since I used to use the same camera.

Aye, far too close. No need for it as well as there was a second lane that they could have moved over to.

It's always difficult to work out how close these passes are from the video, I've found drawing my 'trajectory' on the road with a line showing where my handlebars would be help to bring it into a little context. Have a look at this video of mine where I do this:

If you did that with yours I think it would show just how close they were!

Sorted it. There was a period of time when there was some question over the legality of putting peoples faces on youtube. I have since had it confirmed that it is perfectly legal. I just forgot to make the video public again.

Actually, searching through my videos I came across another video that is currently not public. Does anyone remember my pavement cyclist video?

Verbal encounter wasn't it?
That's the one!

I removed it because the chap is very easily identifiable, and although I am legally fine to show it, I felt guilty leaving it up. The guy really did come across like an idiot. Maybe one day I will have the time to smudge his face out and put it back up....

Thanks Magnatom – I remember that one actually – far too close as well – the lines do help.

Ride It Like You Stole It!

I had one yesterday - ASL turning right at a t-junction, I pulled away first, and was already 50 yards down the lane by the time the first car passes. Second car pulls level with me then indicicates and turns left on me as I'm level with the rear passenger door - nothing other than slam on and shout "Oi" - the guy wasn't going to abort the move. I didn't have words though as I couldn't be bothered and it was right next to work and I was 'warming down'. Had this been mid ride then I would have hit the car as he turned.
