As I just posted on YouTube - why do these idiots insist on getting in as close to you as they can when they have a whole extra lane to use for overtaking (as the considerate first overtaker demonstrated) ?

My other pet hate is when they blast by with inches between your bars and their car, yet a little further along the road they give parked cars a very wide berth ! Obviously they're more scared of a someone opening a door on them than they are of possibly hitting and injuring a cyclist

It was pretty unacceptable, in my view, but everyone's musical taste is their own. The overtake was rather dodgy, too.

yer pretty close that.. on an unrelated note re camera's on bikes..

if you mount the camera on the fork leg and get something that is static in position in relation to the camera (like the front wheel) or something in part of the shot/camera view, it will make the video look smoother and less jerky as it gives the viewers eye a reference point.

It was a deliberate punishment overtake as the driver probably thought you were too far from the kerb and wanted to teach you a lesson. Drivers are very dangerous when they decide to do these deliberate manoeuvres which leaves them little room for error if they judge the distance/speed incorrectly.

...mind you, it's helpful that the backing vocals come in just as the too-close overtaker is creeping up. A timely warning..
