Depressing how often that happens these days, let alone the accident in the first place.

I`m guessing but does this mean he`s hit her on the bend without actually realising it at all and just carried on driving?

It`s hard to tell if that is exactly where I think it is ( just before the traffic lights at Mike`s Carpets ) but if so it`s a terrible junction.

The lights there change to red for traffic going straight ahead so you have to slow down , but the feeder road to the left stays on green , encouraging drivers to try to beat the lights by driving straight through the cycle path .

Even worse there are several pinch points leading up to the lights so it`s very difficult to avoid using the cycle path given the amount of traffic.

I recently opted to go left there due to lack of choice.

Recently there has been a sign prohibiting left turns here ... I thought maybe somebody had woken up to the danger present.

What a tragedy , my heart goes out to the family.

And as for anyone who fails to stop , well words fail me.

Don`t think it`s that junction mate, the semi-detached houses in the background suggest it`s further down Stanningley Road (possibly opposite the old fire station/Cockshott Lane?)
