Seriously though, if I had any WH Smiths vouchers I'd get and spend them...

I look around the shops local to me and I despair sometimes. To judge from my local shops, anything that isn't Pound-UK-bargain-discount-Primark-land or somewhere selling drinks that are almost, but not entirely, unlike coffee.
Caramel mokkachino? What the festering saddle-sore is that???

Numerous charity shops, rough pubs, amusement arcades, betting shops, pawn shops, cheap tacky clothes shops. We don't have a pound shop though, we have a 99p shop and an 89p shop, on each side of the latest betting shop, which is opposite a betting shop, which is around the corner from a cash converter, which is opposite a cash recycle....
There is a local 'shopping mall' of 15-20 stores built only about 10 years ago. All that remain there is a WH Smith, a McDs, a Subway, and a carphone warehouse.
True, but it is depressing though. To be fair, you have Morrisons, Boots, Wilkinsons - all the stuff you need.
But only a couple of miles away, down the ley-line*, is the Trafford Centre, Temple to Shopping! Which, according to the "carpark full" signs, is stuffed all the time! Full of stuff you don't need!
(We rarely go, but B and Q is near there, so we pass it a lot....)

*The ley-line is the line of the local high street, pedestrianised and with a line of lamp posts down the centre of it. The line of lamp posts line up exactly with the pinnacle of the dome at the 'Intu Trafford Centre', as it will be know as from next month due to new ownership.

DIY giant B&Q could be in the process of leasing thousands of square feet of floor space to supermarket chain Morrisons.
Rumours have suggested that the two companies could be about to agree a deal for 150 B&Q stores across the country to be let out to Morrisons, who would take over between a quarter and a third of the trading space in each store.
