As @Fubar says, very sad and my thoughts are with his family. Very close to home for me as I frequently cross the A92 at Freuchie.

His killer has been convicted of causing death by careless driving and given 200 community service and disqualified for two years. That really sends a message.

In all probability, she will now be struck off by the NMC. That may have been taken into account in sentencing.

Being struck off would be a sad outcome from this, given that she may well be an excellent nurse but a shite driver. I don't see why anyone, whose profession isn't that of a driver, should be sacked for something that doesn't affect how they perform at work.
