Today, for the 3rd year running, I got a new PB at the Manchester Great Swim. 33 min 40 secs.
It was by only 8 seconds BUT it was my first time without a wetsuit, plus I had to swim an extra few yards and run up the ramp to get my time (as apposed to getting my time last year in the water).
Not only this. I did it NAKED. Well, when I say naked... I mean I didn't have my wetsuit on. I'm a bit chuffed coz it means I'm faster than in my wetsuit (which i didn't think i would be coz my fastest time in the pool is 2 mins slower than in open water).
But best of all, over the last 3 one mile swims we've done, I have caught up with my colleague by 7 mins, 2 mins and now I'm only 35 seconds behind him. I got boxed in by some other swimmers twice so there is room for improvement and there is a possibility I could whoop his ass at London Docks in a months time. PLEASE LET IT BE

because i do improve every time i do it. hopefully, one day i will be a "sub 30" swimmer.
