My current bike (BTwin Triban 540ish) currently has Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres (25c), last night they had GP4000ii’s (28c) but the back tyre quickly got a puncture, as it did the last time I tried them, I think they’re knackered.

I do like the Marathon Plus’s reliability but they’re heavy and a bit unnecessary and I like the GP4000ii’s, when they’re up.

I’m intending to go on longer (road) rides this year, so I’m looking for 28c tyres that are comfortable and will last.

Somewhere between the Marathons and GPs. ^_^

All tyres are a compromise between weight, rolling resistance and puncture resistance.
You might have a look at this site which looks at all three and gives some recommendations.

Yep. That is an excellent price. I have several spare in the cupboard they have done so well for me.
I find my tyres last a long time when I leave them in a cupboard .

Durano Plus. Comfortable? No, not really. Tough? I've had three punctures on them, in multiple sets and many, many miles (something over 30k, I estimate). Not quite as tough as M+, but considerably faster.
