I got one last night to mark the loss of two stones. I'm two stones and two and a half pounds down and five pounds away from losing 10% of my bodyweight - might get the 10% off sticker next week.

Doing two 100km DIY audaxes last week contributed to this week's six and a half pound loss.

Woo Hoo!

I've rediscovered my cycling mojo!

Great effort, well done mate.

Isn't it great when people start commenting about how much thinner you're looking?

I can't help pulling a bit of a daft looking expression every time

Vernon, totally amazing, how are you getting there, a bit of detail would be good.................

I joined Slimming World five weeks ago weighing in at 25st 8lbs. I've followed their Extra Easy eating plan which means that I don't have to count calories nor weigh anything out. There's a comprehensive list of 'free foods' which can be eaten without restraint and a list of 'healthy extras' which ought to be eaten to balance the diet and include essential nutrients.

It's possible to have full English breakfast with bacon, egsg, mushrooms, sausages and beans providing that things are grilled or fried using the low cal Fry Light spray.

Lean meat, fish and eggs are free foods.

There's lots of tasty recipes in their own publications and the recipe books are well worth buying. I've enjoyed curries, burger and chips, steak and chips and stir fries amongst other things.

'Syns' allow high fat, or high carb foods to be eaten in moderation by allocating syn values to foods and aiming not to exceed ten to fifteen syns.

I don't obsess about the things that have to be strictly rationed such as bread, biscuits, cheese, butter, sweets and chocolate and my only weakness is to have a choc ice every night.

There is a visible change to my profile and I'm wearing trousers that are a couple of sizes smaller than the ones I wore a month ago.

A lot of the pupils at school are commenting positively on my shrinking waistline and one or two of my colleagues are looking at altering their diets.

I have three healthy meals per day, snack on fruit and never feel hungry. It has been a pain free journey so far.

Last week should have seen a stand still performance as I stayed in Liverpool for a couple of days and ate restaurant, hotel and cafe meals, had a take away last Sunday and fuelled one of my Audax rides with pork pies. The pie fuelled ride was not a success in that I got the hunger knock sixteen miles from the end. I must have been more cautious with portion size and food selection as I was very surprised at the weigh in - so were many of the women who lost a pound or less, maintained their weight or even put weight on.

You won't recognise me at this year's FNRttC Hull ride.
Carry on at that rate and they won't even be able to find you!

According to the slimming world weight loss tool I could well be under 21 stones but we'll have to see - I might fall off the wagon into the arms of a well seasoned pie and the ensuing descent into greater porkiness.
