Well spotted 
On my downstairs loo door, is a sign that says acts of vandalism on these toilets will be fined £25 by order of the Wadebridge and Padstow Rural District Council
My brother ans I in our early teens in the early 1970's removed the sign from the public toilets in Rock, Cornwall car park
We then moved 300 miles away to London and lived with my father for a few years, and duly stuck the sign to the bathroom door.
One evening he was holding a dinner party for some local old fogies (well they were over 40)
One of whom was Councillor somebody or other, who went to the loo at some point and saw the sign
She was a Councillor for the Wadebridge and Padstow RDC !
Apparently she was not amused, to find a sign, who loss had been discussed at a meeting in a house 300 miles away
