Daughter 'introduced' us to Temu a few months ago. Everything we have bought has been good, except for the odd 'super-cheap' kitchen gadget which TBH we thought would be rubbish. The first cycling item I bought was a pair of panniers, which were less than £6 and I expected they would be rubbish! - How wrong could I be? They have a poly reinforcement liner to keep the shape, a durable weave, and I wouldn't have grumbled at 3x the price! Next was a cycling top, and it's as good quality as others on sale in UK eg Lidl ones, and only £7. Other items we have bought are for Daughter's house, the standout being the 'peanut' pull-out shelves for the kitchen blind corner base cabinet - A perfect item for half the price of Ebay and a quarter the price of DIY outlets, and exactly the same item judging by the pictures. The garden storage containers were again a lot cheaper, larger and gavlanised steel and with stainless steel hinges and latches - appear good quality but the assembly instructions were poor and it took us over 5 hours to assemble the many parts with over 300 screws provided  For anyone who's ever assembled Ikea, these were in a whole new league! Apart from the cycling top, all the above were already in UK (listed as Temu local) and arrived within 3 days. I have no connection with Temu, and these are just my experiences.
I wonder if the 'they don't pay their taxes' and similar statements are put about by other businesses competing for trade. Similar comments were directed at Primark, citing 'slave labour sweat shops' until it was found that big-name retailers used the same production facilities. Personally I'd avoid buying safety-related cycle parts eg drivetrain, frames, bars etc and the electrical warning given previously is noted. As just about everything on sale in the Western world is made in the far East the goods are comparable to anything else available but at a reduced price as numerous middlemen are out of the process.

I've now taken delivery of about 8 items from Temu. All have been fine except 1. A canvas print, colours were drab and did not reflect the picture on the website. So I went to return it, they refunded immediately and said there's no need to return. I knew it was a gamble at £6 odd, but I will be pleased if I actually get my refund in 7-21 days

I'm pretty new to Temu, just had a look for a few things for before our holiday, but have since branched out.
Not bought much that is cycling related.

Best purchases so far have been some mens belts, a grippy mat thing for my daughters picnic tray in our van, and I also bought her a device holder that clips on to the back of my headrest, so she can put a phone/switch up there - this was very useful on the long drive down to and back from Tuscany, and feels very well made and solid.

Have also bought two of these stands:

They were delivered to a helpful neighbour whilst we were away, as they were surface post, and took a LONG time, and I haven't actually opened them yet, but will do so this week and report back - I was hoping above all they might be useful (With a bit of modification potentially) when transporting bikes in the van, both for stability, and preventing damage.

Also tried a few fans in the hot weather, one portable one was fine for my daughter, the other more substantial ones were poor at best, so were returned and refunds came through fast.
Amazon were a good source of rechargeable fans that actually work, last and aren't horribly noisy, though of course the cost was about 4X.

Have also bought some underbed storage things that I have yet to look at, and have just placed an order for some silicone ear sock things, as we have a few sunglasses in the house that are totally smooth, and slip about, so hoping a few versions of those, plus some nose pad versions will fix that - and this is the biggest 'gamble' I have taken. I have to go to a wedding next month, so have just ordered a suit from Temu!

For the princely cost of £32.47 - I have no idea what to expect really, there are decent reviews though, or how crushed it will be in the packaging - we will see. My perception is that a suit full of creases you don't want is virtually impossible to make uncreased again?
I've also popped a formal shirt in there too, so will be interesting to see if either are viable or not.

It's a violet/purple suit as well, so if it's decent, I'll be keeping it a secret right up until the day

I'll try and remember to report back with findings on both the clothing and probably more pertinently, the stands.

We've had a new shed built, so I've been re-stocking with mostly DIY stuff. I must have done 5 x £30 orders by now. 95% of the stuff has been excellent. A pack of screws, half the price of Tool station, contained 1 bent screw, 1 screw entirely without thread, and 1 screw with a blob of slag in the screw head. So 3 unusable in a pack of 100 ish. Not too bad. Have also used some brackets for hanging tools, no problem with quality.

My DeWalt compatible batteries both work and charge fine, £11 each for 8mAh compared to £75 each for the branded version. I only charge them when I'm in the shed with them, would not leave overnight.

The thing I've noticed now is that Amazon do no name power tools compatible with big brand batteries, just like Temu so. Whereas Temu might sell an impact wrench for £20, Amazon do ones for 30-60. I do not trust any in terms of the torque values given, but they certainly work very well for home use even if less powerful than a snap on or Milwaukee
