I have just published my first ever blog and to be honest, it was a bit of a hit and hope affair.

Pressing the Publish button was a heart stopping moment.

I was hoping I could do a Google search for Haderslev Camino and my blog would pop up, but it doesnt. Is there anyone who could give me some advice as to how I can make that happen. I would like them to see the blog when they search for Haderslev.

Here is a link to the blog. Any hints, tips or comments would be appreciated.

Your site isn't yet listed in Google - a search for:
Code:
site:caminohaderslevnaesbybike.blogspot.dk
... reveals no indexed pages.

Assuming you have a Google account, to submit your site to Google search index login to Google Search Console: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home - and Add a Property. You'll be asked for the web address (http://caminohaderslevnaesbybike.blogspot.co.uk/) - follow the instructions to verify it's your site and Google will add it to the list of sites to crawl and add to its search results. You should also submit your Sitemap - a list of pages in your blog that is updated automatically every couple of days - (Click Crawl > Sitemaps) - your sitemap is here: http://caminohaderslevnaesbybike.blogspot.co.uk/sitemap.xml

Your initial page seems to have lots of content and key words so should be indexed well, but don't expect to jump straight to page 1 of the search results - Google generally promotes new sites slowly so it could be a couple of months to get any sort of ranking.

You can also use Google Analytics to view traffic stats and see where your visitors are coming from - it's free, just sign in with your Google account and create a property and add the tracking code to your blog.

Good luck.

This discussion is now result 8 in a Duck Duck Go search for Haderslev Camino.

The links you get from elsewhere matter more than begging the search engines, but I suspect you're always going to be playing catchup with the Haderslev Camino Wordpress site on all search engines other than Google and maybe even there.

Include maps! At least one general map and then more detailed ones showing specific places. Your blog has lots pf information but I can't place it and am therefore inclined to stop reading. You can never have too many maps.

I think there are 12 maps included in the blog. You need to click one of the links.
