Tiny wee beastie - can't be much more than 5mm. Can't really see the point of ID'ing it meself, but she asked, so...

Looks a little like a glow worm larvae, but I thought they only had the munchies for slugs and snails.

Ground beetle larva.

Beetle ID is silly enough as it is without starting on the youngsters.

In my experience treat them as if they're all killers. It's the only safe way.
Eeek, creepy horrible things.

As said, it looks like a beetle larvae or the larvae of something you see knocking about down the local pond or stream, lacewing maybe?
