I had a dream about bike lights and something to do with being unable to charge them and getting very stressed about cycling without them. I think yours sounds a tad more interesting than mine

The Rapidily Thinning Ice = Increased risk of being found out sooner

Well: after reading your posts in the mechanical section, plus of course the fact that it is deep winter, ice is plenty to be found and could be a fitting burial for a well loved bike, my conclusion it that your subconscious wants a new bike.
Or, at the minimum, a new saddle

I have a recurring dream (nightmare). The detail is often different but the theme is pretty much the same. I wake Mrs Colly up with my shouting and stuff. Doesn't involve bikes.
