I finished 9th in a local MTB race (fun class) in 1995. The sponsorship was hard to raise on that result, so I decided against turning pro.

I know of several very accomplished cyclists on here, some of them being very well regarded and recognised at their chosen disciplines.

I know of one national age group TT winner and several highly regarded audaxeers who have won trophies at AUK events.

Very professional at table football. I used to spend hours getting the rods straight and greasing them with the inside of a crisp packet. I even had a filed 5p piece on the end of a bit of fishing line to pay for the games.

 I had one of those circa 1975-6.
That was definitely creative accountancy! And I've always considered the life of a professional table footballer to be one of those jobs with a glass ceiling. ;)

I was part of the BAOR Orienteering team that won something in 1986. I got two bronze medals in a round of the British Skydiving Championships 2001, style and accuracy I think.

err....that's it.

I'm going to blow my own trumpet for once. A few years ago when there wasn't a women's freeride scene at all I was a freerider. I went to the north shore (vancouver canada) which was the birth place of freeride and has some really difficult moves/lines there. After a few days I owned a line which hitherto had only been ridden by three women. Two of them were ex world champions and the other was a seasoned pro. There's a photo somewhere...

Oops, I'm an oldie! I did however win the Manchester Ladies Junior Championship in around 1960 or 61 (so long ago I've forgotten exact date) and was very proud of that!

My Dad wouldn't let me ride a 50 so I was unable to compete in the club's Junior Champs!

Hell, it's all history now & no-one cares anyway!
