I think there is a serial number there but hard to see due to rust/paint. If it is a Colt, is it worth saving? It doesn't look that special to me but I'm fairly new to this kind of thing.

The frame number would help date it. As would the number from the rear hub.

I'd say it's worth saving, but that'll take time, more than money spent on it.

This is great info. Is part of a 'barn find' on my brother in law's small holding. Also found a BSA twenty and another Raleigh that we can't actually get at yet! It's stuck in a corner with a table and some box steel balanced above it.
