[EDIT] considering how much these things usually sell for I'd have thought that £70 suggests a lot of tlc being required as opposed to the advertised, 'bit of tlc'

Although as I say I no nothing in matters of a bent nature, so if it's a cheap one to start with that would clearly explain things. Also the fact it's gumtree might explain the low price and brief description
