Any ideas how to mount my gps without the bracket?

You know what I was just thinking about that l looked on Ebay and they're only £2.99 and the mounts aren't much more.

The alternative would have been a lamp bracket combo (which looks as if that's what you used) - the upside of the Garmin idea is that it's probably a bit more secure with the "turn lock" [and when you come to your senses and buy a Garmin you'll be good to go with the handlebar mount ;-) ]
