Hi All

I had this bike for a long time but never really bothered to learn more about it.

I bought it used on in 2001. It was really beat up. I fixed it up and upgraded some parts and rode it for a bit on hardpack rail trals around Toronto. It really never let me down and was always quite enjoyable.

So. From what I can read on the frame its a Norco. Not much else can be seen due to the frame stickers being largely ripped off. The frame seems aluminum since the bike is quite light compared to big box store bargains. It has. Overall it is old but seems quite decent. Gears shift reliably and no mechanical issues to speak off.
Googling didn't bear any fruit so far.
I guess any info would be nice to have.

Norco are an American brand. This is mainly a UK forum, although the brand is available here only more recently, and only at one shop so quite uncommon

Thus, you might have more joy on a North American forum of none here

Photos of the whole bike would be useful too :okay:

I believe that they're actually Canadian, based in BC. So the far side of the Rockies from the OP.

EDIT: Oops, too late! But there's a Norco archive page here: https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2011/

Easy check to confirm it's steel.or not is to see if a magnet is attracted. While you're trying to find the instructions for the computer, use the magnet off the front wheel.

Looks a bit like a Norco Citadel with a strange paint job.

But the more you look at it - the stem is much more modern, but you did a bit of work on it you said.

Those bikes are heavy, but comfy tanks.

They looked like this in 2005, but I thin there was another colour, or a very similar model the year before.

Holy molly guys, thanks!
What I can verify does match.
I did replace...can't even remember now. Derailer maybe or cogs. Front wheel for sure. Rear may be from a crap SuperCycle I had before.

I did not touch the stem. It is exactly the way it was 17 years ago when I got it.
