I have one small run of moulding to fit so I can run the Virgin Media cable in it, the rest is getting a thin bead of brown silicone between the skirting and floor.
Ripping the skirting wasn't an option for me as I'd be taking lumps of plaster with it (learnt the hard way when tiling the WC..).
Won't scrimp on the threshold, drop in the ocean compared to what I've spent on the kitchen/ livingroom floors!.
