Me. But:
- I retired three months ago, so nothing I say can any longer be construed as legal advice (says our Practice Manager);
- the job is much more specialised now. The days when one person could keep up to date on the range of even High Street work have long gone;
- people who ask on forums for legal advice are usually concerned about criminal issues. I haven't done any for 20 years.
- even a 'proper lawyer' won't be able to give you worthwhile advice without you giving all the background, which you won't be wanting to do on here. I often found that the first task with a client who came in with a problem was to find out the things which he didn't think or realise were relevant; or with criminal clients, things which he was lying to me about.
So, Dave, what exactly had you been doing just before the lights came back on? How many units had you really had? How often have you done it before? Most important of all, has the reindeer given a statement yet?
