Any one have a house cleaner ?

Me and Mrs Dave are knocking on a bit. Both have reasonable health but Mrs Dave had a bad fall 2 years ago which left her with a dodgy back that makes some jobs difficult/impossible. I get stuck in but....
A) its a big house and
B) we have 3 gardens........and come spring/summer we want to be out & about.
We did discuss down sizing and eventually will but we love the house.
Anyway...........we decided to have a trial 2 hour clean this morning.
WoW........we were both impressed. Young person so much fitter.......got stuck in and accomplished so much in the time.
Money well spent for me.

They never went into dirty houses to work.
But, no, we’ve never had a cleaner in. Yet!

We a have a cleaner. It was either Sky/Virgin TV or a Cleaner - needless to say the cleaner won. It forces us the clean and tidy the house, as we cannot possibly let the cleaner come to a dirty house.

We did have, briefly, for pretty much the reasons you describe. Personally, I thought it was a great idea, more interesting things in life than dusting! But, Mrs @BoldonLad (aka The Boss), decided she did not like the way the Cleaner, “cleaned”, so, that was the end of that.

I was wondering about that. We are reasonably house proud and definitely clean......but I wondered.....what does a cleaner do/say when he/turns up and its a s**t heap.

When they went to interview the potential client, they checked the house out, and discussed their mutual requirements. If the house was unkempt or too messy, they didn’t accept the business.
They were good at their jobs, and their clientele were sad when they retired.

This was arranged by phone. A recognised local company. The cleaner that does the trial will be the regular cleaner.
She was a lovely girl and did an excellent job.
Happy days me thinks.

We both work full time and have a toddler so time to clean is difficult to come by, unless one takes on the task and the other occupies our progeny. Not fun for anyone really, so we have a cleaner every Friday, just for cleaning the place, not dishes/laundry.
