Any Orchid growers

We like orchids but we can't seem to stop them pushing themselves out of the compost never mind not growing upright .
They seem quite healthy as new air roots and they have just flowered .

We've got several, and they all do that.

They have to do that, because they don't really want to be in a pot at all - you can put the pot in a deeper 'cache-pot' to hide them and support them, if you don't like the look of the air roots. That'll help keep the air roots a little bit more humid too, which the orchid will enjoy.

Yep the 'roots' need light on em hence Orchid pots are clear to allow this.

Yep, got several trying to escape, eg

But they brighten up a corner of the kitchen that otherwise be mostly seedlings

Water them with boiled and cooled water, and mist spray them as well.

They just want to get out of the pots to take over your entire house because they are so very happy in it!
