any photos of alan bikes

HAS ANY BODY GOT ANY PHOTS OF THEYRE ALAN BIKES SO I CAN GET SOME IDEAS OF WHAT LOOK TO GO FOR AND WHAT SADDLES AND PARTS THEY WERE USING IN THE EARLY DAYS.

I'd do a Google Image search on Alan bike, you'll get faaasands...
Mine was bare polished alloy tubes, into rougher-looking alloy lugs. Italian threaded BB (which confused the hell out of me, first time I'd met one) and Campag kit.
It fell apart in '91 - big cracks in the BB and front dropouts.

Which Alan have you got?

Essentially those dating from the early/mid 80's had Campagnolo Super Record, whilst those from late 80's, early 90's had Athena/Chorus.

I have to admit mine is a mix of allsorts. Whatever I had available when I built it up in the mid 90's when I bought the frame.
