It's all been rather traumatic. My old hens don't seem to like her very much.

But as you say, distincly preferable to the alternative.

Provide her with a safe environment, and gradually introduce her to the others. Don't just throw her in, they'll kill her establishing the pecking order.

I watched "Dead Zone", described as a Horror Film. On a scale of one to ten, on the horror, it might have made 0.5!

Then watched the Cage Fighters contest on the same Channel. ;);)

Well, I'm going to out myself as a complete SCD fan. I love the dancing, love the frocks, I adore the judges, and I'm even developing a soft spot for Brucie. Saturday nights in our house is given over to 'oh, Chris' timing is really off tonight', or 'Jade's dress is fantastic!'.

That's what I'm doing - I've got them separated but they can still see each other. They seem to be ok roosting together.

Fingers crossed.

I can't quite get into it this year. I think there are too many couples and it goes on too long. I've found that recording it and fast forwarding through the bits of Brucie trying to be funny and all the training footage cuts it down nicely.

I'm going to see my grandma weekend after next, she's addicted to it and is also deaf as a post (and won't wear her hearing aid - you know how stubbon these 90 year olds are) so the telly's always on at a million decibels.

Tell me it will all be over by then....groan.

the straight man is marginalised in the saturday tv schedules during prime time, and if you don't care for football either, you should consider asking for 1/7 off the licence fee…

i reckon that the viewing figures for these shows have a large proportion of unwilling husbands/boyfriends etc who would happily watch anything else if at all possible.

Unfortunately it's not just Sat prime time, as another poster said, you also get SCD it takes two, Mon to Fri. To cap it all Mrs S has now found "Dancing with the stars" the American version of the show. As for the vote lines, should we have a number that we could dial to ask them all to f*** off ?:becool:

SCD is the only 'reality' type programme that's ever watched at Chateau Wafflycat. I love the frocks, all OTT sequins, glitter & fringing, whilst MrWC adores what Ola almost wears each week and has a drooling moment or three whenever Ms Rihanoff's curves are on display. The programme improves immeasurably by the use of the mute button on the remote control whenever Brucie is spouting his drivel and p*$$poor attempts at humour. Had to listen to Brucie's inane/ill-advised/unfunny 'jokes' this week as viewing elsewhere. Brucie really should be sent off to the vet for the final journey as he's well past his 'use by' date. I'd go so far as to say MrWC is a bigger fan of SCD than yours truly as he's the one who makes a point of watching SCDITT during the week. The funniest bit this week was a Brucie moment, however, as I fell about laughing at him getting stroppy with Craig Really-Horrid about the nastiness of making adverse personal comments about Jo Wood. Considering Brucies previously gob-smackingly cringeingly awful comments about the very same lady 'losing a stone' and no longer being able to get 'satisfaction' I just creased up at the mind-numbing idiocy of Brucie.

The show improved this week due to the explusion of Joe 'more wooden than Thetford Forest' Calzaghe this week.
