On the road to nowhere
just wondering if there are any sky TVs staff on the forum. I'm having problems with downloads and recordings stuttering and sound going out of sync. Sky replaced my box back in November which slightly improved things b now it's getting worse again.

I've tried the rebuild, deleting recordings and deleted items etc, restarted the hub, reset the box but it's still no better. Broadband connection seems ok, never have an issue browsing so I'm stuck now.

Problem is when you call or use chat they ALWAYS want you to go through the the same routine and it's getting on my wick. I suggested a new hub but they are adamant that won't solve anything

Any Sky staff help would be appreciated

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I find that if I download from anytime and dont watch the film as soon as it has downloaded enough of the film, then it is completely out of Sync, between the sound and the picture.

I had to reboot my hub today as it was not letting anything connect.

I know exactly what you mean......

I had to endure the same nuisance when the Internet was playing up..... called BT and Sky many times to get the BB fixed. After the 3rd call I wised up and just pretended I was changing filters, cables and plugging in this socket or the other..... I just sat by the rooter and switched it on and off when they were giving me instructions ^_^ my own fault finding + the info I had got from them said a new master socket plate was needed but they wouldn't listen. Eventually they did and the problem was fixed.
BT engineers were terrible, l would describe one of them as lazy. The Sky engineer changed the plate but cut all the other extensions  at least he fixed the problem. I got somebody privately to re attach the extensions to my office and the bedroom.

I just totally gave up with Sky, after the fortnight from hell (1st world problem, obviously) and told them where to stick their non-existant broadband and where they could stick their TV channels. Their billing left a bit to be desired, they tried to bill me for the 10 days or so between ordering and then getting the TV thing. Not paying for 10 days use of something that I didn't have at the time. Their customer service was useless beyond belief and I was getting a bit stressed as Hubster likes TV that he can watch online, during dialysis.
Gave up, have broadband with the post office (cheap as chips and reliable too) and have a Now TV dongle that might change at some point to something else but not sure.
