Chris and I are thinking of doing another 3 / 4 days tour in the UK next year, booking airb&b as bases in each location. We did C2C last year but would like something not too hilly this time. As the title says, do you have any suggestions for us to consider?

https://cycle.travel/route/norfolk but I'd use real b&bs instead of air ones.

Norfolk is great for 3-4 days of easy touring. Best airport is Stansted. You can get the train to any station up to Norwich.
Lots of US links and history, pretty villages, big country houses, castles, pubs, fantastic N coastline, endless network of quiet country lanes although secondary B roads can be busy.
The terrain is very gently rolling with a few small hills along the coast, and dead flat in the eastern part ( the Fens) towards Ely and Cambridge.
There is a new national park of lowland lakes and rivers ( The Broads) which is accessable by bike.

We will be driving from Stoke with the bikes on the back of the car, to our starting point and then, meet the girls for lunch on the way and later on at the airb&b. That's what we did on the C2C and it worked well.

Southwestern part.

New, as in 35 years old this year, established 1988. Time flies, eh?

Lake District loop - goes round the Lake District rather than through it - 195 miles and about 5,000 metres of ascent

The [Morecambe] Bay Way?

There are a few small hills, but apart from one nasty one up to Brow Edge after 42 km, they are not too bad. You could drive to Glasson Dock near Lancaster and park somewhere there, then there is a flat ride 9 km along the cycle path into Lancaster to catch a train to Barrow-in-Furness with your bikes. That is a cheap one hour trip. The route finishes with a ride back along the cycle path from Lancaster to Glasson Dock. Alternatively, skip Glasson Dock, park in Lancaster and finish there.

I did it over 5 days with a non-cyclist with an extra loop added to Hawkshead. She didn't have any problems with it apart from the Brow Edge climb which she had to walk the second km of.
