Anybody else get a tiny bit disappointed when there are no "alerts" for them when they log on?

And I try to see if I can predict exactly how many there might be. I've been right once.
So any one else or do I just have some issues?

For some odd reason in all the time I've been using cyclechat I haven't been able to bring myself to look on the "post a lie" page. I think perhaps I fear getting drawn in never to return but then again it can't be any worse than a certain thread (no names) that is raging on the general bicycle page at the moment. In fact it probably makes more sense.

Just call me Chris...
I end up quite distraught when that little Red flag isn't there, especially if I'm logging back in having previously posted some literary masterpiece only to be greeted by tumbleweed blowing past the screen

Yes. This definitely. Does nobody see what an astute and intelligent comment I made about that thing there. I don't know why I bother. I'm wasted here, I'm going to write for Cycling Weekly (In fact I think I'd be more likely to be writing for "Cycling Weakly") or some such.

"Cycling Weakly"

I used to get CW saved for me at the newsagents. I called in for my copy and when the assistant gave me the mag, I said..............''That's what I do..........Cycle weakly''

She looked at me with a look so blank I thought maybe I'd spoken some alien language like Klingon.
I tried again............''You know cycle..... weakly ....no energy'' The look went from blank to horror, as if I had exposed myself.

I gave up.
