I've got a bronze medal for ballroom dancing! I was 13 and my English master - a great character who once managed to get about 10 of us schoolboys wedged like sausages in his Morris Traveller to take us to some Shakespearean thing - said 'take my advice, learn to ballroom dance and learn to type' he was right about the typing, came in very handy at Uni, I've not used my ballroom dancing skills since 1971 so maybe my time has finally come

I have a bronze silver AND GOLD medal!!!

I think they are in a box at my ex's house - not exactly sure whether or not I have ever told my wife about them

I used the existence of my bronze old-time dancing medal as the reason my kids cannot ban me from dad-dancing until they also have medals for dancing. This was not popular😂
