Anyone doing the Corrie?

Discussion in 'CycleChat Cafe' started by Stig-OT-Dump, 9 Feb 2008.

  1. I've been trying to get a team together, but without any joy.

Is anyone looking for someone to complete a team for the corrieyairack? Does anyone want to do it?

I want to do the Duathlon myself, so if anyone is purely doing the ride and wants to be in the team competition, I would be useless.... but otherwise post, PM me or anything.

    Cheers

    Stig

Isn't the Corrie the pass with a massive boulder field at the top where one must carry the bike? Or is I thinking of another pass?

Sounds about right - it is one of General Wade's roads, but if I am able to get into it, this'll be my first time.

Well go for it Stig. Looks like a good thing to do.

When I were a lad (70's) the Corrie was a mythical pass which was one of the pinnacles in the career of serious Rough Stuff devotees. That was well before MtB's. These Rough Stuff folks used ordinary road bikes with saddlebags etc.

    Them were the days (apparently).
