I couldn't see which part of the forum to ask (pets didn't seem appropriate  )......... as stated in the title, have you seen a live badger?
At the ago of 66, I'd only ever seen 'road kill' badgers (probably 4 or 5 in total), and joyfully I saw a live one last week ^_^.
We were on holiday at a chalet park on the South Coast. Our daughter suddenly announced from her bedroom "quick, I've seen a beaver". In her excitement she'd got her B's muddled, but there it was, a badger visible in the light from the window, and then leaping near it was a fox! The fox startled the badger, which went away at a great rate of knots, and we quickly went to the lounge area of the chalet and saw it disappearing into the distance. We were surprised, as it ran pretty fast, like a startled cat. This all came about because our Daughter looked outside after hearing a noise she thought was rain. This was the first night of our week's holiday, and we were on 'unsuccessful lookout' for the rest of the week.

I once saw a live badger eating a dead one that had been run over. That's what it looked like it was doing anyway

I've nearly hit them at night on the bike. I've chased along lanes in the car - you have to be patient until they find a suitable exit. A very rural friend of mine, who might be an occasional amateur poacher, once exclaimed in surprise, "Have you never eaten badger ham?"
