You know it's (so-called) Blue Monday today, right? AKA 'the most depressing day of the year'. Load of cobblers of course, but still...

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Come and live in Ayrshire; winter all year round! It rains as much in the "summer" as it does in winter, and temperatures aren't exactly melting the tarmac either. Last two summers have really sickened me with the place; I don't think we strung 2 dry days together all year. So have I had enough of winter? Too bliddy right I have, but the thought of another wet summer doesn't fill me with joy. Maybe there IS something in this "Blue Monday theory?

As long as I breathe, I attack.
That don`t sound too good buddy. Have you talked to your doctor about it?
Its called life, wife and young kids.Unless they can prescribe 6 numbers on the lotto and a month on a sunny beach i doubt they can do much.
Mini CKhas anxiety issues due to his health so does not sleep well anyway, we have to getup at 1am to take him loo due to is kidney failure, his anxiety means he is abusive, seeing a social care psychologist. Did 3 days commuting last 2 weeks , getting back to 5 days on day shift and really want to get weekend rides in again for my sanity as im pretty depressed atm as non of my family understands how much good it does me mentally.
Just want to get back to "normal "

It's the lack of sunshine that gets me. There was a beautiful sunny day last Sunday and since then I think there was a couple of hours of sunshine on Friday & Saturday while I was at work and that's been it.

I didn't feel any blues, an enjoyable leisure run on the bike in the morning and a hilarious visit to a couple of pensioners in the afternoon. Although the mood did dip a little half an hour ago when I looked out the window to see that with darkness had come the snow:cold:.

I was looking forward to riding in to work tomorrow. It's snowed another ten inches on top of the eight or so that was already there. And there's a good bit of wind. I was hoping to ride in shouting 'Howl yee banshee, howl!', and generally cursing through gritted teeth. Seriously, i like that kind of thing. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. SHE has been out tonight and I've said she can have a lie-in, and I'd get the kids up, fed and delivered on my own before cycling. However, I'm up this late because she woke me up with a 'I'VE GOT A KEBAB FROM THAT PLACE YOU LIKE.'
