Anyone else had their flu jab yet?

I received an invitation to have a flu jag from my local medical centre, then after I'd had the jag another invitation from the regional health board.
It was the same last year and the year before that, clearly the NHS has money to burn.

I'm not at all worried about the possible side-effects of the jab and I think it's pretty unlikely that I going to die of flu right now, but I'm curious about whether the formulation that they give you varies over the course of the flu season.

I know they've changed it in the past, some going back for a second shot, as things have developed.

Why is giving my opinion "trolling"? I base my opinion on when i had the old big C. My oncologist said i had a very good immune system. He advised against me having a flu jab as "it could weaken my immune system because it encourages your strong immune system to become lazy,as it doesn't have to work so hard".

Well I bow down to the greater knowledge of your oncologist of course. Although it does sound somewhat counterintuitive what he is saying....to me at least

The office offer free flu jabs . Not taken advantage yet, wot with a week cycling in the Pyrenees, then working in deepest, darkest Nigeria and now fighting off holibobs jet lag in San Francisco.

I'll be getting mine at some point but like it has been mentioned it's not a catch all as they only provide cover for the most likely strains, and this year is supposed to be a bad one.
If you've had it bad before then there is no reason not to get a jab, at uni I had the flu with a temp of 105 and a fever which lasted 3 weeks. That meant no beer over the whole of Xmas...

Had mine weeks ago, i do get them free due to weakened immune system.
Been having them for a few years now.

Ive had Flu twice in my life. Last time was 97
