Well that definitely wasn't my intention. Again i must stress that the oncologist and the surgeon who did my operation did not advise a flu jab. I appreciate that we aren't all the same and doctors will judge each individual case and not say "No flu jabs for cancer patients, end of". I'm just telling it from my experience. If they offered me one tomorrow i wouldn't take them up on the offer as i believe that having chemicals injected into you as a precaution is taking a gamble. Again..that's my opinion and i'm not trying to influence what others do. I've found quite a bit of stuff advising against flu jabs, online, but i wont link them.
Opinions should be reserved for matters where there is no right or wrong answer. In this case your "opinion" is just wrong as the entire weight of scientific evidence will attest. As for what you have found on the internet, are these sites backed up with proper epidemiological evidence? Of course not - they are just more people on the internet with "opinions"

He advised against me having a flu jab as "it could weaken my immune system because it encourages your strong immune system to become lazy,as it doesn't have to work so hard".

Does sound like you believe he was cautioning against 'flu vaccines in general. You certainly don't say anything along the lines of "for someone with a robust immune system like you I would advise against a 'flu vaccine' which wouldn't be what he said. At best he said that you would probably be ok without one, given your reluctance to have one. You may have heard that as advising against. You do have a history of hearing what you want to. And the above posted comment directly contradicts the bold section of the quoted post below (bold is my emphasis)

Though you probably can't argue with a person who will use the 'evidence' you presented...

Probably something you were already brewing... as you said, coincidence.

Just to make it clear to those on here (and I don’t mean you @pawl) who seem to be having problems with distinguishing fact from fantasy:

  • The ‘flu vaccine does not give you ‘flu.
  • The ‘flu vaccine for adults does not contain live virus.
  • The ‘flu vaccine doesn’t contain mercury or other heavy metals.
  • No reputable, competent health professional will tell someone in an ‘at risk’ group that they shouldn’t have the jab.

I’ve had the misfortune of having had ‘flu quite a few times in my life - thanks in part due to quite a long time on immunosuppressants as a teenager. Most have been Type C or Type B.

I did have the misfortune a few years ago of getting Type A (Swine ‘Flu) which landed me in hospital. It was also somewhat embarrassing as at the time I was part of the NHS regional team dealing with Swine ‘Flu...

Luckily I’d been vaccinated but it has left me with impaired lung function.

‘Flu isn’t funny.

Agree. Even if you are not eligible for the free jab a number of various pharmacies will give the vaccination for a small charge.

i'm a believer that flu jabs and similar weaken the immune system. Providing you have a strong one to weaken.
? How!

Having read the rest of the rubbish you’ve posted on this, please don’t respond to this!
