Use of insults does not help your case remotely. It merely points to lack of intelligence and decency, or ability to form a coherent argument.

Posting links refuting an argument are at least an attempt at reason I suppose, but your link has no more legitimacy than mine. Vested interests will always work to discredit those who criticise them.

Your assumption of superiority of your views indicates only your closed mind and inability to question what you hear or believe, not any better foundation or logic to your beliefs.

post references to quacks like Mercola (who by the way is an osteopath not a doctor and make $10M a year from his site and associated businesses) who defend and support Andrew Wakefield and you deserve every insult you get:

Definition of flu Paul.
If there's a £50 note blows onto your lawn but you can't muster the energy to go out and pick it up.
Been there, had the flu jab; didn't buy the T shirt.

I have had reactions after a jab, I have also had full blown flu, the reactions were a walk in the park compared with flu. It would be nice if people thought of others as well as themselves. If I get flu chances are my wife will, she is a podiatrist looking after a mainly older client base, does not take many grey cells to work out what might happen.

I could not have picked up £5,000 let alone a fiver.

I'm not sure about the lies thing. I mean in the middle ages they had evidence to prove to their satisfaction that the black death was God's fury for our sins. What I do believe is that the evidence we are presented today has a depth and is challanged sufficently to be reliable as far as our current understanding allows. For example, in terms can of the eradication of small pox following the introduction of a vaccine, and its resurgence since vaccination uptake began to fall proves to me the vaccine works against the small pox vaccine. I believe that the data driven medical research model gives us, if not the complete truth, then the best truth available to us at the moment. I don't see the vigour and openness of results in the anti vac research; It seems far less empirical and far more anecdotal.

Personally I love a good pork pie, but when they are not so good they can be pretty awful. (How's that for fence sitting?)

The pork pies from the late lamented Thornley's Pork Butcher* in Chorley were the best in the world.

*Yes, a butcher who ONLY sold pork and pork products - all produced in their own 'abattoir to shop' factory

Anyone who has had proper full on flu would not turn down a jab, I speak to many people who had flu last week, they am suprised when I say they did not.

That's the crooks of the matter @screenman
As i posted on page 1or 2 ive had Flu twice in 52 years of living.
Both times i couldn't even get up stairs ..i laid in bed or stayed on the couch and thought i was dying.

Most people have a cold and skive of work with a excuse of Flu ....

There used to be pork butchers who only sold pork when we lived in London. Most had German sounding names.
Last Pork-only butchers shop I saw was in Leicester back in the noughties.

Insert witty title here
I can't waste too much time on this, especially pushing water uphill, when some minds are clearly closed, and some people unable to make a point or have their views questioned without getting offensive, but I will just conclude with this.

Study this history of medicine, and you'll find the the quacks of yesteryear are often proven right. Remember that medicine used to use leaches, that at various times Coca cola was a tonic, Guiness was good for you, as was smoking. Look at the history of the medical profession of prescribing drugs which later turn out to have severe side effects, after years or decades of denial or covering up, and the discrediting of those who try to break the truth.

Observe that in the USA addiction to prescription drugs is a massive problem, observe the ever changing narrative from drugs companies on vaccines - first it's one for life, then you need a top up, then another. Look at the standards of trials that vaccines are required to pass, compared to ordinary drugs.

And as for the "Mercola quackery' observe that for the past few decades, whilst we've been told we must eat processed foods low in saturated fat, we've seen an explosion in diabetes heart disease and other lifestyle diseases. Whilst we've seen a prevailing wisdom that we must slather ourselves in sunscreen containing known carcinogenic ingredients (but only a little so it's ok), we've seen a massive increase in cancer, and a return of rickets.

So if you really believe that you need to be injected annually, eat highly processed food, and slather toxic waste on your skin in order to venture out, then you're welcome to it. If you really think your milk must be forced through a tiny needle, in order to break down the size of the fat molecules, so they don't float (heaven forbid you should have to make the choice of whether to enjoy the cream, or shake the bottle to spread it out)

You're certainly a good citizen in terms of lapping up the marketing from the drugs companies, food processors, and pharmaceuticals, especially when you repeat all the social responsibility twaddle (I've never had a flu injection, never had flu, so never passed it on). If I was more cynical, reading some of the responses here, I'd be buying their company shares, since their brainwashing is clearly working really well!
