Mine's only about 15 minutes longer by bike, despite being a 22 mile journey one way.

Mine is far longer by bike. 9-10 miles of relatively quiet M-Way means I can get from home to work in less than 15 minutes in the car.
By bike it takes me 45 mins and I always get there 30 mins early so I have time for wash and change of clothes.

Still take the cycling option most days though

My cycle ride is probably five minutes or so longer than the car ride. If I cycled fast enough to beat the car I would need a shower so in all it would take even longer! I prefer to potter along enjoying the scenery. Even after two years I don't get bored.

If I drive to work it is 7 or 8 minutes, whereas my ride to work is usually 60 minutes, not including changing and locking up the bike which adds another 15 minutes.

Longer by bike for me.

It's 10 miles on good speed A road for me, with very little traffic. I can do it in 10-15 minutes but need to give myself 20-25 minutes for work.

Cycling takes me 30-35 minutes.

A lift to work for me is around 15 minutes compared to 35-40 minutes by bike for 9 miles. Then of course I need to add in the compulsory wash and the longer walk from the bike sheds than from the car park. It ends up taking around an hour overall by bike.

Still quicker than the bus though as I'd need to get up even earlier to catch my connection.

Here for rides.
faster by bike than by train

faster by car than by bike

it ain't about the speed though.

and since I started cycling I've stopped driving the route I cycle and go the longer A roads all the way. Why should I be a rat on the rat run?

Well by bike is about 45 mins, train is about 30 mins, scooter is about 30mins.

Interestingly enough, bike and scooter end up taking about the same ,since I have a 10 min walk from a decent slightly secure parking space to my office.

Train is the quickest for me no doubt, but it's not always reliable. I get stressed very quickly if it's delayed

Yep me. Commute by bike (outskirts of W London) takes me 45-50min. Driving usually takes me 25mins.

I do the bike whenever I can (which is more than the drive) for health and fun reasons, not speed.

14 miles.

45 minutes by bike.
50 minutes by car.
60 minutes by public transport.

The first 3 miles are faster by car, 60mph vs my 18mph, after that cars don't stand a chance...
