In 2001 I moved in to my current house and bought Bosch fridge freezer, a Bosch washing machine and a Bosch dishwasher - all the cheapest models they did at the time. The fridge freezer and washing machine are still going strong, the dishwasher packed up a couple of months ago, a pretty good record for 11 years. I replaced it with another bottom of the range Bosch dishwasher so fingers crossed I get similar service out of this one!

In a general response, yes I changed the heating element in my Electrolux Oven, got the part from www.espares.co.uk cost around £28, if you go to their site put in the serial number or part number etc when you get to the parts page, they even have a good Video for they type of appliance showing how to change the part. Took all of 45 mins or so and I'm not one for DIY !

don't have a reference but UK white goods by law are supposed to be serviceable for 6 years

I think after just 14 months you have a good case for a FOC repair

espares sell the parts and have a pretty good how to vid, just make sure you order the right part as sometimes different marks of oven have different parts, I had to return the last one I ordered because the mark 2 of our oven had a slimmer bit and I hadn't noticed  they were fine about it btw

Got a Bosch fridge-freezer, maybe five years old, off ebay for £85. Worked perfectly for 12 years without missing a beat. Sold it on ebay for £39.
