Tis windy.

Meeting first thing, quoting and maybe an hour or so early finish for a ride this evening.

The long awaited pergola is due today so that’s my weekend sorted whilst Mrs HD is at a local festival for the day.

Yep - quick blast of fresh northern air supplied by us as a once only free sample (if you want more, you'll have to pay for it) then back to tropical tomorrow.

It's nice here. Little wind.

Got up and ran early to avoid the heat of the day only to realise that this is the heat of the day.

Coffee and flakes now, DofE route planning with a reluctant teenager later.

Just pleasantly warm today after a pretty sweaty ride home last night - had to keep the pace down a bit to stop overheating in town. WFH today, not too much doing as lots of people off for half term hols. May get a few weights done later

Ten degrees cooler here today. Had another crap nights sleep due to some issue with my neck, feels like I’ve trapped a nerve or something. Seems all right during the day but after lying down for a while it’s agony.
Need to revisit exercises that I have been given over years by various physios and osteopaths.

Yes, I remember intervals between injury during my climbing years and thinking: you're the man, you're cured and don't need these physio exercises, just climb harder, shortly followed by: you fool, why did you do stop doing those exercises when the same injuries inevitably hit again.

Nowadays my 'sports' injuries are mostly running related which means I just hobble around for a while: back then it normally ended up with me lying on the carpet for 2 or 3 weeks whacked out on diazapam (although it did coincide with the first 3 weeks of July on more than one occasion).
