...quite as badly as this couple?:biggrin::biggrin:

[Victor Meldrew]Honestly, don't know what the world is coming to. What with motorists straying onto level crossings and driving off cliffs and all... If they were a couple, surely one of them could have been map-reading (yes, good old-fashioned maps) whilst the other was driving. When I was a lad we got taught geography at school. Yes, proper geography. Which included learning how to read maps. Yes, real maps. Mutter.... mutter....[/Meldrew]

Didn't some guy drive round and round and round the M25 for several hours trying to get to Durham one time? A police car pulled him over and the copper happened to be from Newcastle so when the driver heard his accent, he assumed he must be somewhere near!

Then again, a girl I used to work with met some guy off a dating website and headed up from Bristol to meet him in Newcastle upon Tyne. She got into the centre of Newcastle UNDER LYME and called to ask for directions to his house!

LOL... not quite the same but i knew a girl who parked at the motorway services and then returned to find her car had been stolen. when she went to get help they discovered that she had taken the walkway across the motorway and was looking in the wrong car park on the opposite side of the motorway.

More grist to my "IQ test as part of driving test" campaign.

Was at a party in Harrow once when some late "attendees" rang up for directions to the house.

Only problem was they were in Harlow.

And that was before GPS.

I heard someone on the news a while back, went to Rome for the Man U/Barcelona game (I think), and forgot to change their satnav settings, which they'd set up to miss the M6 toll road. In order to avoid toll roads in France, they ended up going via Belgium and Luxembourg...

Stories abound, concerning hapless folk seeking out Leeds Castle. Now, no-one could possibly go wrong there, could they.... could they?:evil::evil:

I've heard one about a driver taking the daughter of a board member to a Chelsea game.

Stamford Bridge (Yorks) is a long way from London....

I did take a wrong turn whilst cycling a few years ago and ended up on the M25, junction 11 a few years ago for a few miles. Absolutley shat myself!

Was getting bibbed left right and centre. Then I saw the sign the for the M3 to Southampton! Lucky, somehow, I found a foot bridge and went down a verge to get there!

Proper blonde moment!
